The Thing5 Communicator is an enterprise XMPP instant messaging solution with Active Directory (or LDAP) integration. Free with a Thing5 IP phone or at a fixed monthly rate, IM makes communications even more efficient with real-time chat and the ability to save conversations for later reference.

DirectoryDial & DirectoryDial Mobile

Dial others in your organization directly from your PC via the Thing5 dashboard. Access Thing5's web-based dashboard with your browser, select the individual you want to call and click 'Dial' next to the party's phone number. The outbound call will originate from your designated phone.

Conference Bridge

Thing5’s ‘always-on’ conference bridge eliminates ‘setting-up’ conference calls, users simply distribute their unique phone number and code whenever necessary. End-users can use their Dashboard to initiate meetings, actively manage meetings, access saved recordings, and view summary or detailed reports.

Thing5 provides both On/net IP phones for private, corporate networks and Off/net IP phones for environments that do not utilize a private network. Our standard Voicemail service is included with every phone, with Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging as an optional upgrade. Thing5 supplies IP phones from major suppliers such as Polycom, which have features such as caller ID, dialing using name/ID, locally stored and network-based directories, call park, conference call, transfer, speaker, mute and hold in addition to the added benefits of lower calling cost.
